The National Day of Mourning, held on April 28th, commemorates workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or suffered illness as a result of their work.
The OCRC has published a special edition Ontario Cancer Fact to highlight the 2017 Day of Mourning. The Cancer Fact discusses sun safety among outdoor workers. There are approximately 450,000 outdoor workers in Ontario, who are at increased risk for certain types of skin cancer (squamous cell and basal cell carcinoma).
