Nicola Blagrove-Hall

Nicola became interested in research after completing a professional masters in Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health, with an interest in cancer research in general. Her interest in occupational exposures and cancer stems from her previous work in the cement industry, which operated quarries where silica exposure was of concern throughout all stages of the process. At the Occupational Cancer Research Centre, she is exploring the Ontario Mining Exposure Database with special focus on quantifying historical silica exposures in uranium, gold and nickel mines.
