The Ontario Mining Exposure Database

In progress. The OCRC is creating a database of exposure measurements collected in mines in Ontario that will serve as a valuable tool for surveillance and prevention in the Ontario mining industry.

Shiftwork in Canadian industries: A probable cancer risk factor

Completed. Our goal is to raise awareness of shiftwork as a probable cancer risk factor, and identify practical interventions that can be used in workplaces to reduce the negative health effects of shiftwork.

Ontario uranium miner cohort: Linkage with national mortality and cancer incidence files

Complete. This study updated the cancer experience of an Ontario uranium miner cohort by extending follow-up over 20 years for mortality and, for the first time, examining cancer incidence.
