IARC classifies radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans

In May 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) hosted a Working Group meeting of 31 scientists to discuss the health risks associated with exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (EMFs). As a result, IARC and the World Health Organization have classified EMFs as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B).
