Madar became interested in epidemiological research while doing his Master’s in Public Health at Umeå University in Sweden. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Tampere in Finland. As part of his PhD, he has been involved in the Nordic Occupational Cancer (NOCCA) studies project, and he is currently studying associations between multiple work-related agents and leukemia subtypes. At the OCRC, Madar worked on the North American Pooled Project, looking at pesticides, agricultural exposures and cancer.
