Leon Genesove

Dr. Leon Genesove is the Chief Physician of the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

Dr. Genesove advises the Ministry of Labour on the health needs of both individuals and groups with respect to their working environment. He manages the Ministry’s Occupational Medicine Unit and leads the enforcement strategy for compliance with occupational health and safety legislation in health care sector workplaces.

Dr. Genesove is a certified specialist in Occupational Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He lectures in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Genesove is a recipient of the:
• Award of Merit of the Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine; and the
• Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal as an Outstanding Canadian
