Ela Rydz

Research Associate

Ela completed her MPH in Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Alberta in 2015. Ela first took interest in the environment’s influence on health during her Bachelor’s degree in Ecology. During her Master’s degree, Ela became involved in the surveillance of various environmental health issues, including microbial water quality and oils sands pollutants. Her final project assessed dietary exposure to PAHs and heavy metals in berries in Northern Alberta. Ela currently holds a joint position with OCRC and CAREX Canada where she is working on estimating environmental and occupational exposures to pesticides.
